I’ve used this method of making ice cream for years and swear by it. Even when I was given an ice cream maker I stuck by it. Technically its more of a semifreddo but scooped up into a cone or drizzled with sauce who’s to know. The recipe requires no fancy equipment or elbow grease and as a home cook it suits me well. Take care not to over whip the cream. Although the temptation for stiff peaks is there stop when you reach soft, floppy peaks or you will end up with solid lumps of cream in your ice cream.
If you’re new here, scroll down to find the written recipe and scroll ALL the way down for the printable PDF where you’ll also find some MUSIC TO COOK TO. This one is for paid subscribers. If that’s you already, thank you!! Your support goes right back into my work developing recipes, shooting videos, and writing about all of it.
